About me

I grew up on a farm in Evening Shade, located in eastern Arkansas. I thoroughly enjoyed the outdoors and spent most of my summer days fishing with one of my sisters.  By the time I reached the 9th grade I knew my calling was in the field of science.  Ninth grade was the year for bug collections.  My best friend and I had worked all the previous summer collecting  specimens.  We were rewarded with the highest grades on the project and decided to keep them forever.  Forever, turned out to be about three months.  Dead bugs stink, no matter what you try to do to prevent it.

As many of you have heard me say, I have two wonderful children.  Brittany, a 10th grader and Brandon is in the 9th.  Both children, along with my husband, Derek, love helping out when it comes to testing the labs we will be doing in class.  My tiny dog, Bear, is a Cockapoo.  Bear is the sweetest dog ever born.  Brandon raises poodles.  He has two; Cinnamon and Shadow.

As a family, we really enjoy traveling to new places. We all enjoy collecting rocks wherever we go.  Camping and swimming are a must.  Bird watching is another hobby  we all share.  Also, I am a fast and furious antique shopper, quilter, and all around crafter.

I hope you have enjoyed this web page.  I had lots of fun putting it together for you.  Soon, you will have the opportunity to tell me about yourself and your family.  I am looking forward to meeting all of you.

See you in school!
