Pilgrims Leave England
they get a charter from the King to set-up a colony in Virginia
Leave on their boat called the “Mayflower”
Problem is they don’t land in Virginia, which is where their charter instructs them to go. Instead, they land in present-day Cape Cod, MA.
They decide to stay there anyway and they call their colony PLYMOUTH. It is est. in Nov. 1620.
